International Featured Friday!- Ichiban Nikooru

Hello, my lovely readers! I have another feature for you guys and I am REALLY excited about it! I had the pleasure of interviewing Ichiban Nikooru of the blog, ICHINIC! Her interview is witty and oh so clever! This was truly a pleasure! Let's see what she has to say:

Tell us about your blog:

My blog is mainly about personal style, I guess it's just an ongoing diary about how I like to wear clothes haha. I mean I made it in the first place because although I read so many amazing style blogs, I could never really relate to any for various reasons. I didn't have the same hair, I didn't like the same trends, I just wanted to read something fresh and new and exciting. So I decided to make my own blog, after finding the most inspirational ones like Ring My Bell and Rinny Riot. I just thought why not...it's okay to be yourself, whoever that is.  The URL is pronounced 'itch-ee-bahn nik - or- roo', I love Japanese culture and the name was pretty original.

What is your definition of cool?

My definition of cool is you! Ha by that I mean just your natural self. Don't be who everyone wants you be to, what the magazines say you should look like, your friends say you should look like. If you want to waer stripes and spots, go ahead. If you want to wear orange eyeliner, why not. If you want to stop straightening your hair and just be who you finally want to be, do it. My definition of cool is just to create yourself, after all, everyone else is taken...

How do  you fit this definition? What makes you cool? 

I am far from cool haha, in the sense that I can be such a dork. An awesome dork, but a dork. I love playing xbox. I love buttoning my blouses all the way up to the top, I love playing my guitar. But what I really love doing at the moment is sticking to what's in my wardobe as opposed to going out and buying things all the time. On fashion blogs you always see the person buying new things, usually the same H&M dress or Topshop item of the week. I mean anyone can buy that but it's up to you how to wear it. I love diy-ing everything like crazy! My latest venture is cutting up my old jumpers into waistcoats by snipping off the arms. I guess I fit into my definition of cool because I just create what I think can be awesome from what I have. 

Who inspires you to be cool?

My inspiration to be cool are the minimalistic Ivania from Loveaesthetics.blogspot.com..she always reminds me that sometimes simplicity with a bit of spice is the key. And my faovurite blog of all time, Trop Rouge by Christina Caradona, she's so awesome. I don't have any celebrity idols or anything.

If your life could have a theme song, what would it be?

My theme song? Oh gosh um maybe Beetles by Warpaint. It has such an awesome beat the whole way through, and one of the lyrics is like 'fuck it, where's my shit, oh my god i'm mad at it' and that pretty much explains any and every single time I come home and I lose everything. So, annoying.
